Crash/Bug reports

If you experience a problem with the Virtual Navigation Suite or with the Vebo Life program, please report your issue in detail to neil@neuronautilus.com.

If possible, it is very helpful to include a copy of the log file: this is a record of each important step that the software attempted from the time the program was opened. This log is erased each time each program is started, so it is most useful for us if you find the log and email it to us just after an error has occurred (before you exit and restart the program).

To find the log file:
For Vebo Life (also referred to as SMIP)

On Windows computers:

  1. Find the folder used to save the log file: C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\LocalLow\NeuroNautilus\VeboLife\
    1. For older versions of the task (0.8.7.1) the directory is: C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\LocalLow\DefaultCompany\SMIP Test Build\
  2. Email the output_log.txt file from this folder to neil@neuronautilus.com

On Mac computers:

  1. Open up the Console program (Applications -> Utilities -> Console)
  2. In Console, look on the left hand side for the ~/Library/Logs item.
    • If it is not expanded, click the arrow to the left side of ~/Library/Logs to expand the list of items in this folder.
  3. Find the Unity folder
    • If it is not expanded, click the arrow to the left side of the Unity folder to expand the list of items in this folder.
  4. Click on the Player.log file
  5. Copy the information shown on the right from the log, and paste it into an email to neil@neuronautilus.com
For Virtual Navigation Suite (VNS)

On Windows computers:

  1. Find the folder used to save the log file: C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\LocalLow\virtualnavigationtools.com\VNS\
  2. Email the output_log.txt file from this folder to neil@neuronautilus.com

On Mac computers:

  1. Open up the Console program (Applications -> Utilities -> Console)
  2. In Console, look on the left hand side for the ~/Library/Logs item.
